I'm Still Here

I'm afraid that I've abandoned my blog for quite some time now. I will admit that I really didn't know what to write about when I first created it to begin with. I simply didn't make time to figure it out. I became frustrated and then forgot all about it. Writing a blog seems to come so natural to some people, but here I am, still trying to figure this out. I should really name my blog "Under Construction." I'm just surprised that I haven't lost all of my followers!

Good Changes!

It’s been a while since I’ve updated my blog, but hopefully my excuse is valid enough for you guys. I’ve been doing finals these past two weeks, and work has been draining me. I was also in the middle of moving to my new place. I have to say that it’s been an exciting time for me! I love my new found privacy and the fact that I can jump, scream, dance, leave a mess, and not have anyone on my back telling me to pick up my stuff every five seconds. Never the less, I like to be clean, but at least now I do things at my own pace. I’m learning how to cook, which is something new for me, so I will need tons of luck!!! I loved income tax season this year because I got to waste my money on really nice furniture. I went to IKEA, a huge furniture store where everything literary comes in a box, but they have such great stuff, and at a good price too!!!

Carol

I’ve adopted a dog!!! I have wanted a dog for a while now, and finally now I have Carol. She’s the cutest little terrier ever, and I spoil her too much. The other day she was feeling bad, and she just laid on the sofa watching Joggy Bear on the T.V. She’s doing much better now. She’s back to her old, hyper self, and I’m really happy about that.

New Style, New Place and New Item !

Summer is almost here and I really needed a change of hair style. I was really scared to do it though, because every time I go to a hair salon the person who cuts my hair never does it how I like it, but I’m so excited this time around because my hair looks perfect! I’m thinking of dying it soon too. What do you guys think of red? And if so, what tone would look good on me?

Now I’m looking forward to many great things this summer. This coming week I’m moving to my new home. It’s small but quaint and perfect for two people. I will definitely enjoy my new found privacy! I’m so excited! And of course, I will post pictures of my new place as soon as I can, but first I have to paint.

Brushes first, decorations, later!

Ohhhh, and I almost forgot to show you guys my cute little lamp. It was really cheap and I'm so in love with it!

A Simple Day to Live

I really must write about today because I had such a great day!
First I went shopping in the morning :)))))))))) Yai!!!

I caught a great sale at Kohl's and I have to say I got some great stuff ! Among all the bedazzling  things I bought are  two really nice environmentally friendly frames for my wall and two pairs of beautiful sandals for me to wear now in the spring and later in the summer. I do like them so much!!!
I also gave myself a beautiful butterfly shaped, sterling silver necklace, and of course tops, accessories, and much more.

Later...
I went home and I pampered myself with a nice warm shower. I styled my hair in nicely shaped wavy curls, and painted my nails light pink. I put on one of my new tops with one of my new sandals and my new purse.I also did my make up simple and nice for school after plucking my eyebrows.

Later...
After I applied the Sherry Blossom scented  cologne my mom gave me for Christmas I went down to the office to read Poe. I had a blast reading Poe's Melancholies. There is just something beautiful about his usage of repetition and detailed description of his concept of beauty. Afterward I went to class ready to discuss this topic.

Later...
I went to the fair and I had such a good time with my friends. I believe that a great day is one in wish we are able to find pleasure in the simple little things of life and when we are able to feel like a kid again. I ate popcorn, cotton candy, elephant ears and rode on rides I used to get on when I was eight.
My adventure in this quaint little  fair triggered some fond memories of the way my family used to be for at least a second in my life. A second I will cherish always and forever.

Now...
I'm really sleepy after a great, but simple day.

City Life

Even though I live fifteen minutes away from the city of Atlanta I have to say that I haven’t been able to experience the city the way I have been wanting too, but I’m going to make it one of my goals to do so this summer! First of all, I need to contact my friend, Britney, a Georgia native who knows everything there is to know about Atlanta. So far I’ve visited a quaint little black box theater called Dad’s Garage and Atlanta’s famous symphony orchestra.

I also paid a visit to the famous CNN building and it was quite nice.  I really want to go the Seaquarium and to the world of Coca Cola. My friends at school tell me that I really should make it one of my goals this summer to experience Atlanta’s culture and city life.

For Time to Pass and Love

It’s hard to maintain a blog when one is so busy all the time. This week alone I had to deal with five midterms and an essay that was due by today.

I have been wanting for these past few days to fast forward in time so that I could sit down and watch one of my favorite movies of all time, Pride and Prejudice. Recently I’ve been watching this nicely edited music video that shows most of the romantic encounters of Mr. Darcy and Mrs. Elizabeth Bennet throughout the movie. I dare say that I do love a good love story! I can’t help feeling emotional and excited every time their eyes meet. It’s just wonderful to see their chemistry at such an exhilarating speed and with such a great song giving meaning to every moment.I especially love the part when the sun hit's Darcy's face as he returns a warm, sweet smile to Elizabeth. It could be true what they say, that such relationships only come around ones in a million years, but I’d like to believe that we are all capable and deserving of attaining that one person whom we wish to love and be loved in return by our entire lives.

By the way, I have decided to make Pride and Prejudice the anchor text I will be building upon for my Unit Plan on Literature. It's so exciting to create a unit were I get to teach something that I love!
